Only enrollment in the Full-Time Diploma Program in Photography, Film and Media Design at LIK Academy – Private International School Vienna qualifies international students from non-EU/EEA countries to apply for an Austrian student residence permit. Part-time courses, workshops, or online-only programs do not meet the visa requirements.
At LIK Academy You have 2 Options:
Option A: For Visa Application: Choose every Day School (Monday to Thursday) if you are between 16 and 30 years of age. Enroll for : Full Time Training in professional photography, film and media design
Option B: If you are 31 years of age or older and dont need a Visa Application. Enroll for one or all of this Diploma Classes:
The training at the LIK Academy is to be completed in the classic daily school routine (Monday - Thursday).
The LIK Academy for Photo and Design is a private school for media professions. The LIK Academy for Photo and Design has been WienCert and ÖCert certified since 2017.
This full-time vocational training in professional photography, film and media design can be recognised for young people for the duration of their attendance as part of the compulsory education if required.

Dina Lee is a Vienna-based portrait photographer and educator with an intercultural background rooted in the Koryo-saram community of Uzbekistan. Her professional trajectory reflects sustained engagement with transnational cultural contexts, which continue to inform both her artistic and pedagogical approach.
She holds a Master’s degree in Intercultural Communication from the University of Verona (Italy), where her academic work focused on cross-cultural dialogue and identity construction. She subsequently completed a Diploma in Photography at the LIK Academy of Photo and Design in Vienna, Austria. In 2013, following the completion of her photographic studies, she founded a professional portrait studio in Vienna.
Her artistic practice concentrates on portraiture and branding photography, with particular emphasis on visual narratives related to cultural identity, memory, and heritage. Her work has been exhibited internationally, including presentations at the Photokina Biennale in Cologne and the Sotheby’s Institute of Art in New York, reflecting professional recognition within the broader photographic community.
Since 2016, Dina Lee has been a faculty member at the LIK Academy, contributing to the development and delivery of photography curricula at diploma level. In 2023, she was appointed Head of Training Staff. In this leadership role, she is responsible for the strategic development of pedagogical frameworks, quality assurance of instructional delivery, and the coordination of the academic teaching team.
Her academic and professional objective is to ensure that training programs are aligned with contemporary industry standards, informed by evolving digital media practices, and structured to foster advanced professional competencies. Through curriculum innovation and methodological refinement, she contributes to maintaining high educational standards and supporting students in achieving sustainable professional qualification within the digital media sector.
