The Digital Photography Program spans over two semesters and is offered at LIK Academy for Photography and Design online and in locations in Malaga and Vienna. The program starts in either February/March or September/October. In July, an intensive course is available as part of the LIK Summer Photography Academy.
The Digital Photography Program offers flexibility in scheduling, with options for weekend or weekday classes, allowing you to choose the group and corresponding attendance dates that suit you from the available schedule.
The listed class days (see Schedule) are mandatory, supplemented by optional image review sessions and free LIK Wednesday Selections. Homework assignments for practical tasks are compulsory.
The first semester establishes the foundation for a solid professional education. Learning and understanding photography is the starting point for creative work. From capturing images to sequencing and conceptual work, the program imparts perfect know-how, eliminating uncertainties and "trial and error" approaches. It's during this period that the first part of your personal portfolio is developed.
The mandatory second semester allows for more room to explore independent photographic solutions. The content of the second semester aligns with the traditional fields of photography. Of course, the program keeps pace with ongoing developments in photographic technology. The final LIK Academy for Photography and Design examination and the professional portfolio created serve as the basis for assessing your performance and awarding the photography diploma.
Prerequisites: You should be highly committed to attending classes and solving independent tasks outside of the course hours. Basic camera knowledge is required.
Objective: By the end of this program, you will have enhanced both your creative and technical photography skills. You will possess comprehensive photographic knowledge and a portfolio created during the course.
